STATION MARITIME
The port of safi is located on the atlantic coast, 120Km from the port of jorf lasfar and 300Km from the port of agadir.
It is located at the bottom of a bay dominated by hight cliffs that are wide open offering shelter to ships from winds and storms.

Historique :
The port of safi is probably the oldest port in Morocco after a downturn it had a thriving business in the 19th and 20th century.
In 1908 the port of safi was rebuilt by the Portuguese and fitted out in its current location for barcasses in 1916 he only had a basin of 4 hectares of water for barkassiers.
Between 1923 and 1938 the discovery of phosphate deposits in youssoufia allowed the construction of the current commercial port (basin II) in 1960 the development of the phosphate traffic and the construction of the chemical industries of safi led to the extension of the phosphate dock.
The North quay was built in 1966 the rive quay between 1976 and 1981.
